Washington State’s DPA Downpayment Assistance Programs

If you take our 5-hour home buyer education seminar sponsored by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC), you will receive a proof of attendance certificate, good for two years, which will be required should you apply for one of the downpayment assistance programs listed below.

The WSHFC’s  Downpayment Assistance Programs provide loans for assistance with downpayment and closing costs… and can only be used with the WSHFC’s first mortgage loan programs. The details are covered in class.

Up to 4% of the first mortgage loan amount.
Up to $15,000 for buyers with a disability or family member with disability living with them.
Up to $45,000 for buyers living within the city limits of Seattle.

Up to $30,000 for buyers within an ARCH member city or area.

Up to $20,000 for buyers within the eligible city limits of Tacoma.

Up to $10,000 for buyers who teach or work for community and technical colleges, or K-12 public or private schools.
